anonymous server

A special Usenet service that removes from a Usenet post all header information that could identify the original sender and then forwards the message to its final destination. If you use an anonymous server, be sure to remove your signature from the end of the message; not all anonymous servers look for and then strip a signature. Also known as an anonymous remailer.
